I just read about a professor that was fired for writing about his findings. That would sure put a dent in my old earth belief.
However, I'm still an old earth creationist.

I read about that too. I assume there's more to the story because about a dozen people had already published on the subject with no issues. His paper was fine. Got accepted by the journal.
