What is everyones opionion on paleo-orthodoxy? I have found that without knowing what it was I have fallen into this line of thinking in many ways.

Hola Jim:
Sounds good to me.
I've generaly thought of myself as a reformed Catholic as opposed to a Protestant. From the article , this is the line of thought I've been following for some time.

I love Thomas Oden. I don't always agree with him, but I appreciate his "Rebirth of Orthodoxy" and have found his "Pastoral Theology" helpful as a pastor, as well.
His efforts at seeking common ground among Christians are exemplary and his insight into how important it is for modern christians to be rooted in our own history is timely.
I'm especially grateful for his role as editor of the "Ancient Christian Commentary on Scripture" series of bible commentaries- it's every early christian commentary on every portion of scripture in a huge volume series and super helpful in getting a good handle on what the early church taught and believed about scripture.

Wow it's pretty expensive -- $288 for the CD on Amazon. Have you found a better price anywhere? I guess for all the info in it it's not that expensive. But still a better price would be nice.

"How is it that Christians today will pay $20 to hear the latest Christian concert, but Jesus can't draw a crowd?"

It's about 26 (?) thick volumes (our church is collecting the hardbacks, but on CD would be great). It's worth the money, but really expensive to pay all at once, admittedly.
