Benny Hinn says the Holy Spirit tells him things. Mr. Hinn supposedly slays people in the spirit. He said all the homosexuals would be destroyed by fire,I believe he gave a time frame. This did not happen. Is Benny Hinn a false prophet?

I would agree that Benny Hinn would appear to be a false prophet. I need to be cautious about labeling him, since I have never heard him or had any interest in his ministry. I have heard that he has made specific predictions in the name of the Lord, which have not come true. This would seem to qualify him as a false prophet (Deut.18:21-22).

Benny Hinn is about as far from Christ as one can get. I lived in Orlando for most of my life and so has my fiancé. Some years ago she once attended one of his services at the prompting of one of her best friends. During the service Mr.Hinn became irritated people were getting up in the middle of his service, so he had the ushers lock the doors to prevent anyone getting up and leaving. His message was so important, they could not leave is what he told them.
She also attended the same Christian private school his children did. The most she ever saw of him or his wife at the school was the two inches his window was open in their luxury automobiles paid for, courtesy of the church tithes.
Sightings of him at the mall with his extravagant shopping sprees and posse of body guards were a frequent sight as well.
My intent is not to slander the man, but I don’t want anyone to be deceived by him. The stuff you hear in the media is no attempt at destroying a righteous man, but only the sheering of wool from a wolf.

we were missionaries in Manila for many years. The RC church there is full of idolatry and corruption. Mary is elevated there as the 'saviour of the nation.'
We heard Benny Hinn attended an AoG conference at Hillsong church in Australia. He said he had recently been to the Philippines and before he'd gone there there had been another missionary who had exhorted people to get out of the RC church. He said he would never tell people to leave the Catholic church, in fact he said he told people to stay there and that the pope was his brother in Christ. Apparently there was no dissent from any of the AoG leaders who heard him.

I think he said they'd be roasted by 1994. Maybe he meant spiritually burned.
