Hi all,
If there is already a thread of this sort, just point the way.

Im looking for some recommended classic Christian readings. I'm talking about classics or books destined to be classics, not commentaries (e.g. F.F. Bruce) or study resources (e.g. Strongs, Vines) but more like inspirational books or maybe even some audios as well.
Here are some examples of what I'm aiming for:

1. Answers to Prayer by George Muller
2. Hudson Taylor's spiritual secret by Dr. and Mrs. Howard Taylor
3. Amazing Love by Corrie Ten Boom

I would like to know of more books (or audios) along this line.

Robinson Crusoe -- In the politically-incorrect unabridged version, Crusoe not only becomes a Christian, he leads Friday to Christ!

That's right! It is very edifying, from the first page.

It's great having suggested reading lists like these. I started reading Robinson Crusoe last week and I'm finding it really enjoyable.
I think I must have read a very abridged version when I was a child; at any rate, I hardly remember any of it.

The 'Thomas Jefferson Education' website has some interesting lists of classics...however some are not necessarily 'Christian' classics.

"Behind the Ranges" by Mrs. Howard Taylor, the biography of James O. Fraser
"By Searching" and "In The Arena," two books making up the autobiography of Isobel Kuhn
"A Retrospect," Hudson Taylor's autobiography
"By My Spirit" by Jonathan Goforth
"Walking His Trail: Signs of God Along The Way" by Steve Saint

I'm in the process of reading 'The Knowledge of The Holy' - A.W. Tozer.

It's very very good! It breifly touches on different attributes of God (Holiness, Omniscience, Sovereignty, Love, etc...) and before each chapter there is a short, edifying prayer. The chapters are only a couple of pages long so its a pretty small book, but one of those that you could ponder on almost every sentence that was written.
