Too intellectual!
Hello,
I really dont expect a reply as usually the only replies come from
the intellectuals on this site, seems you all post one to the other, only.
Anyways, I am sure some of the postings are by true new believers
that need questions answered. Of course maybe I am mistaken and
this site is for all the other people as well....I believe all you intellectuals
have many answers and wisdom to some postings that are not considered
on your level..... Stoop down and wash your brothers feet.
thank you

Hi Love God.
I would caution you that, while what you're saying has merit, it's too general. Where, specifically, have we failed to answer new believers' questions?
Also, you may not know this but Steve Gregg is an intellectual (or at least that's the way he comes across to me). So his forum would naturally attract people like that, wouldn't it? That being the case, why are you upset?

I was not pointing a finger at one person but I did get your attention!
Ha!
Well I have read many times posts from people who do not post anymore because questions were never answered, maybe Steve expects people
to call his talk show.
thanks for your reply Damon.
PS Im not smart enough to answer your question properly and thats the truth!

Hi Love God,
I'm one of those who post my questions up on the forum. I don't live in the USA and so it's not convenient for me to call Steve on his talk show.
Not all of my questions on the forum have been answered and some questions took several months before I got an answer from Steve. I recognise that Steve has a very busy schedule and formulating a written answer requires more time than speaking directly. (Remember that Steve's answers are usually lengthy.) I do appreciate it when Steve has the time to answer my questions.
Even then this forum is viewed by many and there are occasions where my question was answered by someone else and there were times when I answered someone else's question.
What I am saying is this: don't be discouraged; just ask your question. If Steve doesn't answer, someone else might. If it's unanswered for some time, just be patient... Steve might be busy, or want more time to think through his answers, or (horrors!) doesn't know the answer to the question (even then he'll let you know what the various options are).

Dear Love God/guest,
Hope you're not thinking of me! Maybe Steve was busy & the rest of us didn't know the answer - don't give up on us!
God Bless you, Homer

thanks Homer I was not thinking of any one person at all.
I have noticed so many questions going unanswered and
just intellectuals speaking and most people have left forum.
Forgive me if I am wrong.
Your humility is appreciated.

Hi,
I just dropped by an saw this thread. I thought I might explain something that may not be evident without my saying so. That is, that I enjoy answering questions, whether in writing or on the radio, and am thankful for the opportunity that this forum provides to do so, but I have limited time to spend on the internet..
Some may not realize that this is not all that I do. One of the things I do quite a bit is travel. This usually means lots of time spent driving and limited access to or time available for internet dialog. While not at home, and not actually driving, I am usually teaching or visiting friends in the location. When I get home, I try to catch up on the questions that have been posted while I was gone. Sometimes there are too many for the time I have available to write.
This month, I am traveling for three weeks, and will be home one week. In the past week alone, I have been behind the wheel on the highway for over thirty hours and have driven over 2000 miles. I have slept three of the past six nights reclining in my driver's seat. I do something similar most months. During such travels, I am lucky to find the time to check my email somewhere, and to respond to whatever is urgent, but writing for the forum is fairly out of the question. Someday, I hope to be able to settle down a bit more, and to be able to devote more time to writing.
I appreciate the fact that others pick up the slack and write answers to people's questions here. It takes the pressure off me a bit, and allows the inquirer to get various perspectives. When I am available, I like to enter the fray.
Blessings!

I agree with you, fellowship of heart not debates on who has the best doctrine has much more appeal, Sometimes a little unfriendly here.
