Lost Topic

There was a topic created that was named "Sunday, Sunday, Sunday" where I typed in some responses on Feb 18. But later on that day, the posts disappeared. Was this series of posts removed for a reason or was there some bug that resulted in the posts disappearing?

This is more a question regarding quality of the forum software rather than the specific topic.
I think the link to the post was: http://www.theos.org/forum/posting.php? ... 16&p=35022

(That link doesn't work anymore).

It's very possible that one of the other moderators removed, or even moved it for some reason (they will have to speak up). I do not believe that there are any inconsistencies with the forum "software", but it is free/opensource so who knows ;) Perhaps it was even user error :o

Well. I have had various postings disappear. Sometimes it seems there is a concurrent posting (by another user) that interferes. And when I thought it was just my perception, I have had other people's responses that quoted my posting that no longer exists.

One recommendation I would make is that if you want to preserve your post content, copy the content of your posts to your computer.

Now, if you are able to scan the database, I would like, for curiosity sake, to know if the Sunday,Sunday, Sunday topic still exists in the database.

Thanks for your work to keep this forum operating.

Mikew,

I must take responsibility for removing that thread. I apologize that some of your posts were lost. However, your posts (which were not objectionable at all) were simply occupied, as were mine, with taking RND to task. RND was acting so juvenile throughout the tread that I felt keeping the thread on the forum degraded the maturity level of what we are trying to maintain here. It is the only time in the history of the forum that I have deleted an entire thread. Again, I apologize that your posts were sacrificed along with the rest. If I had removed only those by RND and myself (the only other two contributors), and left yours there alone, they would not have made any sense, since you were interacting with RND, and alluding to things in my posts as well.

Thanks for mentioning that Steve. I had a copy of some of it, if I need my posts at all. The main thing I wanted to know was whether the deletion was intended. You can delete this too ;)

You can usually tell when a thread is deleted because we try to add a post to the thread saying it had been removed -- sometimes, we don't do that, though.

Do you add the post before or after deleting the whole topic
