Christian Perspective on Trade Unions

I would appreciate your views on a Christian working in a job that requires union membership.

Are you in a right to work state? If so, the "job" can't require you to belong to a union. If you're not in a right to work state, you don't get to choose. As far as being a Christian in a union, I'm not sure if Jesus was in the carpenter's local. :D

Thanks for your response. I live in Canada and none of the provinces in Canada has RTW legislation. There are many workplaces where membership in the union is a condition of employment. I believe that unionization rates are higher in Canada than the United States. And no, I can’t imagine Jesus walking a picket line!
