I was wondering if any of you have caught this show on The History Channel. They have done several episodes based on biblical events (I've seen episodes on David, Moses and Joshua)

Of course they tend to explain away the supernatural elements, (e.g. the pillar of smoke and fire was actually a large burner held on top of a long pole; in the day it was only allowed to smolder -i.e pillar of smoke and at night it was allowed to burn- pillar of fire. apparently the egyptians used such signalling devices).

but anyways, the accounts of the battles are pretty interesting and they do use the biblical texts for the accounts of the battles.
