is biofeedback new age?

Is biofeedback new age?
Can a christian use it for chronic pain?
Pls any suggestions here...................

I have seen a Christian counselor that uses it in his practice to help patients that have alot of anxiety. They can see for themselves how to bring down their heart rates and breathing etc. to help calm themselves.

Being that he is a Christian therapist, he also prays with you and asks God to be there to help etc. I don't believe in the way he uses it it is new age. Glow
