Question from Da Vinci Code
In the novel Da Vinci Code there is a statment to the effect that the church, in the course of 300 years, killed 5 million women by burning them at the stake. Any of you history buffs have info on this. Sounds a little like "overkill" to me?

The Da Vinci Code is filled with inaccuracies, gross distortions and outright lies. This is one of them.
