Homosexuality - statistics

Hello,

I'm trying to prove how destructive homosexuality is and I was wondering if anyone has reputable statistics to solidify this fact. Also, if anyone has statistics about the type of life they live, that would be an aid as well.

This has never been a big topic for me but when I have discussed it in the past you may want to Google "homosexuals and drug use" for some interesting info. I had heard on a talk show once that drug use in the homosexual community was statistically higher from the general population. If that were true, then it would be a discussion in itself as to why?

When someone tells you that homosexual sex is only "natural" then ask them if they believe in a Christian God created earth or are they a Evolution / Darwin believer. If they say the later, then ask them if they have any proof of a species (other than human) that practices homosexual sex in the norm and continues to survive as a species? You will come back a week later and they still won't have an answer.

Unfortunately I can't find the article now. It seems equip.org re-organized their site and took the article archives away. But I remember reading an article from CRI and recording the following stats

1. Less than 1% of the population is exclusively homosexual
2. Only 1 out of 7 homosexuals has had fewer than 50 partners
3. 79% of male homosexuals have had sex with a stranger
4. 10% of homosexuals are relatively monogamous
5. 60% of homosexuals have had more than 250 partners
6. The average heterosexual male has had 5-9 partners
7. 70% of AIDS patients are homosexual/bisexual
8. 86% of homosexuals use drugs to increase sexual stimulation
9. Homosexuals are 3 times more likely to commit suicide
10. Life expectancy for homosexuals is 33 years fewer

Frankly, some of these numbers seem extreme, but those are the numbers documented in the CRI article.

Thanks, so far I found this pdf with stats. Some interesting statistics on homosexuality an mental illness in there too.

That's a really good point steve. I'm taking a speech course and I have to compose a speech on why or why not gays should be aloud in the military. I can't really say homosexuals are immoral (in the speech) - so what I am doing is proving that it is destructive. The integration of blacks in our society was aided by letting them serve in the military. Homosexuality is not a minority, and so if we allow them to live that lifestyle in the military, America will eventually become accepting, not of a race, but of a lifestyle. From that point I proceed to show why the acceptance of this lifestyle would lead to devastating detriments.

Interesting that you brought up gays (includes lesbians) in the military, because I am in the Navy assigned with the Marines. Having a background in the Rights & Responsibilities of service men & women we (military) are not supposed to discriminate (race, creed, sexual..etc).

One thing you definitely can not do is go into the women's head and take a shower with naked women around, albeit, any women in the women's head. Why would we ask for this silly arrangement between the sexes, right? Does it have anything to do with sexual arousement / stimulation? Well, OF COURSE. Hey, that's nature for Pete's sake! Women have a certain level/right of sexual privacy, security and decorum from men who would be aroused by being in their private quarters/showers/head. This also creates an enormous problem with aggravated assault and rape for men that may have been in the field who are stressed and potentially mentally "not all there".

Does this happen now that women are playing a greater and greater role in the services especially in combat roles? You bet. Cases come up a lot more than they used to. Ships that carry men and women have an enormous problem because significant amounts of women on these cruises come back pregnant. Get outa here, you say. Do you think that this impedes a service person's ability to properly do there job at hand? Sounds likely to me. Do you think that this causes marriages to break down when wives/family are waiting faithfully on shore. You bet. Then again, there is the argument that this creates a more relaxed atmosphere and less service people leaving after their tour is down.

One problem men bring up is if/when women were to be taken prisoner (Example: 15 British sailors/Marines) and the cators start raping them or sexually messing with them to get the men to talk because no man wants to see that happen. But, I digress.

So, now we have gay's screaming for overt gay rights in the military. They want to be an integral part of the Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard and Air Force. That being said, I think that is fine and admirable, but opens a huge problem. If Joe-Bob is gay and is turned on sexually only by gay men then do you think I (non gay man) have a right to sexual privacy/security/decorum as the women do? It would appear to be a big "YES" if justice were blind, but that is not the case. So, now my rights have been technically compromised and if I feel sexually abused (visual or mental) and I have no recourse, so who's being discriminated now? Then also that brings up the question ...what is gay? There is no scientific basis for gay-ness so that "gay" status has a huge potential for abuse.

The military has a policy of "Don't ask, don't tell". Should a person "come out" then they would be asked to leave. Potentially for the reasons above. It is still a very big issue in the military.

If gays want such overt recognition then they should take a more militray attitude. If they are so prevalent in society (military?) as they state then make whole units/squadrons/ships with gay crews. Simple as that. They will fight well and serve their country honorably without causing problems for straight vets. It will also serve as a standard, a mark to reach for earned respectability if that is what they so much want. Either it will succeed or fail miserable. Most likely, it will fail. Peace out.

Are there any statistics which show that children who are adopted by homosexuals are more likely to become homosexuals? And if so, what does that say to the homosexual position that homosexuals are born not made, and what are the ramifications for society?

fascinating

That is an interesting thought. I think the adoption/birth of children into homosexual partnerships is so young that it will take years to find any statistical validity. W/o saying my occupation, I know two gay men (very nice guys) that are together. One was a sperm donor to a surrogate mother. The two men have two children from this arrangement.

The two kids are about six and pretty nice kids, but whether they will have a greater propensity to become gay is another story. I would say no, since I think biological influences are greater to reproduce (heterosexuality) and keep a species populated rather than environmental influences. I do think that the kids will grow up more tolerant of gay lifestyles and that may be the part that influences society the most.

The sad thing is that the kids have no "mom". Then homosexuals argue kids don't need mom's or dad's. If that were the case then why have any parents? The absurdity of a non-parent (mom/dad) family befuddles me because it allows the opening of a floodgate that could legitimize all sorts of "family" arrangements as normal .... all the while playing with kids as if they were toys.

Look at countries that have very liberal lifestyles and high uses of birth control. Many countries in Europe are suffering horribly because of low or inverse population growths....so much so, that countries like Germany, France and the Netherlands have to have a liberal immigration policy to assist in their labor needs. Homosexuality does not help. Look at some of the highest Moslem immigration rates and you will also see some of the highest areas of societal conflict.

If the Moslem influence becomes more and more accepted/tolerated because it is politically correct then there will be a huge problem for homosexuals because Moslem Shari'a Law has no tolerance for homosexuals. Punishment is often lashings or stoning to death. So if homosexuals think fundamentalist Christians are bad, then wait until the Moslem influence becomes greater.

Something will give one day and I don't think it will be pretty.

Here's the best site I have found regarding homosexual statistics, it is interesting how gay activists will have us believe homosexuality is healthy in light of all these statistics.

CS, You hit upon something i've given a lot of thought to. Europe in a generation or two will be a social battleground because of the rapid growth of the muslim population and it will get very nasty. It never fails that when society gives in to short term liberal feel good solutions there will always be a much bigger price to pay later.
