Hi all. I was pondering the twists and turns in my journey with Jesus, and the things I believe now, that I didn't believe after I became a Christian 12 years ago. Have you folks had similar, or different experiences?
I let go of:
1. Pre-mill/dispensationalism
2. The Senior Pastor model of church governance
3. Tithing
I'm in a holding pattern on:
1. Eternal torment
2. Eternal security
3. The origin of Satan
I currently hold to:
1. The amill/partial pret view
2. Simple church, ideally overseen by a group of elders
Who knows, maybe I'll u-turn back someday. Has anybody else had drastic changes in theology or practice? What do they entail?

Hey
Mine are pretty similar
The only major shift I've had is from dispensationalism (which was the only eschatology I knew of) toward partial-pret amillennialism.
I wavered for a while on calvinism, but then I realized I wasn't 'chosen' to be a calvinist so I gave up and stayed a wesleyan-arminian

Hemingway once said: 'The world is a fine place and worth fighting for'
I agree with the second part (se7en)

I have certainly made some gradual changes over the last 15 years altough I have been a believer for over 45 years. I am not a dispensationalist, nor a zionist. I believe there is a fallen angel - Satan and his minions. I believe in an everlasting hell (which in my opinion is a total seperation from God). I believe in grace but not the once saved always saved teaching. I believe in the simplicity of the Gospel but also in the fact that God will take us on a journey of deeper spiritual things if we will go along. I believe His Word is complete for every aspect of our life. A guy could go on and on but I guess that's good for now.

after reading Galatians and Ephesians most recently, I know
that I am saved by grace thru faith and the law profits me nothing
A license to sin, God forbid.
I use to be legalistic never profited me anything except alienation and heartache.
