I'd be interested in hearing about some of the Christian organizations some of you feel led to support and why.

The Narrow Path -- For very obvious reasons.

Bible League -- I like the fact that they don't just distribute Bibles, but they also train people to teach and learn from the Bible.

World Vision -- Happens to be the only child sponsorship organisation in my country.

The narrow path for my wife and I. At the moment we are not really plugged into a church home right now and so we (mostly me, and I tell her what I've learned from the n.p.) support where we are getting spiritually fed.

Feed the Children, bible league , Narrow Path. I also like the fact the Bible League trains disciples to start home churches.

I have supported "World Vision" and "Food for the Hungry" for many years. Both of these organizations not only are there in emergency situations with food, clothing, and medical supplies, but they have an ongoing ministry to establish people in their countries by providing seeds, tools, and instruction in growing their own vegetables and fruit, providing animals: cattle, sheep, goats, rabbits, and chickens --- which will multiply and provide food for families for generations. They also support local pastors and provide Biblical training for those who need it.

I'd like to add that Feed the Children and Samaritans Purse have the highest rating from charitynavigator.org . I think 89 cents of every dollar ends up with the recipients. Plus they spread the gospel.

I have supported World Vision over the years. I also regularly contribute to Open Doors (Brother Andrew's organization—he has always been one of my heroes), and to Voice of the Martyrs, where I am currently supporting some indiginous pastors in persecuted countries. All the organizations mentioned in the above posts are very worthy of support, in my judgment.

I've been giving to World Vision for more than a decade. It's a good outreach and I've always thought it to be a good use of God's money.

But the last report from my adopted child, under the heading of "I receive spiritual nurture through", his Community Worker checked 'Other' and wrote in--Muslim.

I don't know what's going on here but it can't be good.
