Two hours a day of The Narrow Path???

Our "flagship station" (KKMC, Salinas) has informed me that "The Bible Answer Man" program, which has historically followed "The Narrow Path" on the station, has discontinued broadcasting on KKMC because of financial considerations.

The station manager has asked me if I would like to purchase this additional hour each day for a continuation of my program a second hour. This second hour would only be heard on KKMC and over the internet stream, but would not be carried by our Oregon stations.

I do not know if there would be sufficient calls to fill a second hour, but I am thinking about giving it a try, beginning in August. I am considering committing to only two months, to see whether finances and the volume of calls will justify keeping this hour long-term.

One drawback is that the second hour will compete with Hank's program, and listeners may not want to miss his program for just another hour of TNP. Also, the money needed to purchase a second hour might better be spent purchasing time on another station.

Any advice?

My preference would definitely be an additional station (or a number of stations weekend replay only or something) to widen the audience and exposure.

(Texas, perhaps?)

YES!!!!

2 hours of the narrow path radio show is just what the Dr. ordered. So yes, I would certainly rejoice!

That's a really tough call

Another station means more callers, but then you'd need more time
Another hour means more time, but then you'd need more callers

If I'm being selfish, I'd recommend the extra hour (since I don't live near those stations anyways).

But I really can't decide which choice is wiser

Suppose I shouldn't have replied!

can the Kingdom more likely be expanded by taking new territory, or further saturation of an existing territory?

i guess a case could be made for both, although the former may be more likely.

Steve,

Just my two cents, but I would recommend adding another station. If you expand the program time in the same area, there will not be as much opportunity to add listeners, and support for TNP. I have long thought it would be of great benefit to add a station, preferably a high-wattage one, in the "bible belt". The downside for those of us who call in occasionally would be that there would probably be a much larger number of callers and thus more difficulty in getting through to ask a question.

Yeah, after thinking about it....in my general ignorance I'd have to say adding another station makes more sense

I would also vote for adding another station instead of another hour. 8)

I say you should enter a heavily dispensational, word of faith based market. They need you the most. Wait.... that might cover a lot of territory. Hmm.
