God's will is why we are His.

True believers are chosen before the foundation of the world. We are predestined by God to be His children according to the sovereign purpose of His will.

Ephes. 1:4-5 (ESV)
even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love [5] he predestined us for adoption through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,

Each one of us is hand crafted by God, to fulfill a specific plan He has for our lives.

Ephes. 2:10 (ESV)
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Reason:
Romans 8:29 (ESV)
For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

Correct, before the foundation of the world God planned that Christians should be adopted and made holy.

Ephes. 2:10 (ESV)

When you sin are you violating this plan?
