How many Calvinists/Arminians do we have?

Just a poll.

How many Calvinists/Arminians do we have, using this forum? If you are a bit of both, plug in Calminian. (Please don't pester me with questions as to what I mean by that.)

What would you be if you were neither Calvinist, Arminian, or Calminian? Could someone help me out?

I voted Arminian b/c I'm more arminian than I am calvinistic

But I'm more of the belief that Jesus is elect and we are elect in the Son. As long as we remain 'in Christ' we remain elect.

Right on, mattrose!

Could be, blind beggar, could be. But I was thinking of, um ... Roman Catholics, for example. How in the world would you classify them? Or could you?

Anyhow, don't get me wrong, I'm no proponent of pigeon holing people, by saying they have to "fit" into a particular belief system. That may be what you're getting at. I'm not saying that. I mean something like this: here is what I believe; now is what I believe closest to the tenets Calvinism, or Arminianism, or Calminianism (a hodgepodge of both). If my beliefs are closest to what the Arminians believe, then I'm an Arminian. Right? Not because I "fit" into a neatly packaged system of beliefs, but because my beliefs are simply the most similar to a certain group of believers that classify themselves as "Arminian." We call a dog that is small, can fit in your coffee cup, and is generally short-haired, a chihuahua, or where we live, rat-dogs (sorry, chihuahua lovers!). If I told you, that ... say ... I believed that man has freedom of choice, that Jesus died for all men, that Man must yield to Christ to be saved, that we can never earn salvation by any works we can do, and that we are eternally secure AS LONG AS we abide in Christ, you would say I was an Arminian. Right? Not because I "fit" into a soteriological (sp??) mold, but because my beliefs are the most similar to the Arminians. Or something like that. Do you follow me? Or maybe I'm just confusing everybody. Is that the right approach, blind beggar, mattrose? Anyone else care to join us?

Agape,

loaves

You may want to add "Unsure" to that category. I've heard the arguments from all sides and haven't thoroughly researched the Scriptures enough to decide, at least not yet.

I suppose the categories come in handy but it seems best to just say I'm a Christian, or at least I am trying to be one. I know I'm not a Calvinist but I'm not too sure about that Arminius fellow either.
