Hi everyone,
I was pretty much a new member to the (old) forum when it went dead. I was on for about 3 or so months and took quite a while before I figured out this forum was started.
During that time I found Gregory Macdonalds blog on google. He is the author of "The Evangelical Universalist". He mentioned closing his blog due to a lack of discussion and so I talked him into being a featured guest if we started a forum. He agreed. Unfortunatley his time is VERY limited.
However we are a new growing community similar to here who embrace Evangelical Universalism. Our goal is to simply discuss the topic on the issue but like here we're not legalistic and welcome any dialogue.
The forum site is: http://www.evangelicaluniversalist.com
we welcome all for discussion and hopefully (heehee) we'll have steve as a guest someday to dialogue with someone on the topic : )
Our goal at the forum is to bring on published theolgeons to discuss the topic of evangelical universalism with Gregory Macdonald in a one on one discussion. We we're about to have Joel B. Green from Fuller Seminary on to dialogue with him but Dr. Green had surgery and is now having complications. We are currently persuing other prospects.
I enjoy being a member here as everyone seems very cordial and polite.
Thanks to the admin as well for allowing me to post our forum address.
Sincerely,
Auggybendoggy

Re: The Evangelical Universalist
Aug,
Read through one entire looong thread at your site. Some interesting discussion but I did notice that there was only one reference to scripture by anyone in the whole of it, and a lot of "I believe" and "I think" statements. No exposition of scripture at all.

Re: The Evangelical Universalist
Homer,
you may be right. We just started really and so the direction is a bit vauge at this point. Our real goal is to facilitate an arena for published authors, theologeons or radio hosts (steve heeheehee) to discuss the issue or related issues of Evangelical Universalism with Gregory Macdonald. We're trying to get Thomas Talbott on as well to dialouge and hopefully in time Keith Derose (yale christian philosopher).
If it was a long post is was def. Jason Pratt
LOL! I love that guy but man he can WRITE! He's a great guy and actually very learned.
Anyhow, your welcome to discuss the issues there and I'm going to post up this forum as well to point people in this direction to get aquainted with this forum.
Theos really is a good forum,
