I would hope that the board administrators of forum could please post an official view of why this action needed to be taken at this time. I am suprised by this action and am at a loss.
I'de appreciate this made public not just a secret. Thank you.
I'm sorry if I had offended anyone.
Sorry, Karen. Here's the message I sent you earlier (posted here at your request) ---

Karen, I am sorry to have to do this, but (if I have done it correctly), I have restricted your posting ability to within the LDS forum here -- we are always very reluctant to ban or restrict participation here, and your contribution in the LDS forum is welcome. However, your posts on other forums have been so far off-topic or confusing that I believe they are detracting from the participation here.
Please understand that I am not doing this because of your views or your behavior -- we accept pretty much all views here as long as someone behaves themselves, which you have done. It is simply due to what I feel as a moderator detracts from the scope of the topics being addressed and we don't want to discourage folks who visit here to join in the conversations.
I have taken this step at my own discretion, so if you have a problem with it, your problem is with me.
I'm sorry for doing this -- I do hope you'll continue to listen in, and if you have a particular question to pose or comment to make about a topic unrelated to LDS, send it to me or one of the other moderators here and I'll/we'll consider posting it on your behalf or rephrasing it so that it is clear.
Darin

LDS General Conference gathers only the first weekend in April, and again on the first weekend in October. The "talks" will be available verbatim on DVD, CD, in print, and on the internet sometime in November.
(salt lake city utah time).
saturday morning session 2 hrs
saturday morning session 2 hrs
sunday morning session 2 hrs
sunday afternoon session 2 hrs
If anyone might like to watch and discuss any of the current content of any of these "talks", many LDS will I'm sure will have watched them and be glad to discuss any of them with you.
I would be interested in this but my TV is only hooked up to an old VHS player and does not have cable, digital converter or whatever...and so how would I view this live?

Thank you Karen, wishing you the same!
(I tend to celebrate or not depending on where I am & who I'm with).

Are you up for a bit more discussion in the LDS section? Just let me know...
Jill,
I would love to, but I cannot commit to long-term presence on the forum due to health issues and finances. Tomorrow, Monday, I will hopefully have a procedure that I pray will put me back to work and keep me online.
I love this forum and have learned so much from TNP website and radio program. I would like to keep learning for a long time.
I'll be watching the LDS section to see what topic you bring up.
