Making videos threatening violence against others or leading a group with a stated purpose of violence against others are not direct evidence that proves that OBL was directly or indirectly responsible for the deaths of others.
He claimed to be responsible for 911, he took credit for it, he claimed credit for other mass acts of violence and was widely known and accepted as Al Queda's leader, He also used his videos to create pyschological terror.
However if this is not proof enough for you so be it.

I disagree. He got what was coming to him. As far as what the court defines as "just", that's another issue. I suppose there are liberal lawyers who would argue that it is not "just" to put OBL to death, while proposing to exile him to safety in another country. The facts in this situation point out that OBL was a well known terrorist who murdered innocent people. While I strongly support due process, OBL is a special case. A trial would have further endangered more lives. He was put away rather mercifully, if you ask me. Had the tables been turned, OBL would have probably had his henchman behead an American and send the video tape to his relatives. The facts of his guilt? Have you seen his videos threatening mass violence over and over again? You do know the manifesto of the group he leads i presume.

While OBL is probably guilty of murder, I believe justice calls for the facts and evidence of guilt to be presented, with the allowance of the accused to speak in his defense. A secret execution is not just.
While I agree in principle, the evidence in OBL's case is just to overwhelming. My neighbor, a Marine, has spent several years over in Taliban territory and he can tell you first hand how evil a group they are. The media doesn't tell half of what is going on over there. As for the "common sentiment" of Bin Laden and the Taliban being ruthless thugs and murderers, talk to some of our men and women over there on the front line, they will let you know just how bad it is.I've learned to treat every common sentiment (i.e. " Everyone knows that...") and official government communique with a large dose of healthy skepticism.
Remember, common sentiment in 1st century Rome under Nero was that the Christians started the fire that razed much of Rome. This lead to severe torture and execution of Christians, including Paul and Peter. Historical evidence tells us otherwise.
