Thanks, Mort. I read the ihug one, but the nextreformation never would load for me. I liked the one from New Zealand because of the way he catagroized the different journeys people had experienced to get to where they were. I especially liked the in-church, out-of-church since that's what I experienced for a long, long time. Also I like the fact that he is praying for revival.

Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. He must have a flakey web server.
Keep trying though, it's worth it!

Off Topic (sort of)

After reading the book, I followed one internet link after another, and ended up on this site. The videos are funny and thought provoking.

I thought it was kind of stupid really. I guess it's "thought provoking" to be a maverick that is against everything that people do in church. Oh well, guess I don't get it.

I really enjoyed the videos about pastors, and tithing. The first video about the body of Christ was little over the top for me.

I found them a little heavy handed, but thought provoking anyway. I was a little put off by the one about the body.

The entire purpose of their website is to poke fun at or criticize things that people do in church.
Do they truly think it's a bad thing to encourage the body of Christ to gather together. I know that the church I attend is not the entire body of Christ. That's the whole Church. All believers. But if they don't want to see people encouraged to gather together they are butting heads with the writer of Hebrews.
Calling your pastor your pastor is just fine. And your pastor should have respect. Some pastors don't mind a first name basis. Some would prefer you call them pastor. Who cares? They are the leaders of a local group. They deserve respect.

These thugs are losers. They are not helping anyone out at all with their stupid videos. And I am in total agreement with Michelle and Robin about the first video. It was even more tactless and ridiculous than the others.

I get where these fellows are coming from, and I think I probably agree with them about some or even most of the principles they are making fun of, but I don't think that satire is anyway to get what they are saying across.

It seems to me that the only people that will get anything out of this site are the people that agree with them. Others will simply be offended.

To me, that is not a ministry, it is simply making fun of people. I am (kind of) sure that this is not their intention, but they will only offend the brethren with this sort of thing. So why bother? Why not write something or say something edifying?

The one about the body of Christ was out of line, and in my opinion just plain childish.

Eph 5:4 Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving.

Could we say that these fellows are in line with the word of God here? I am not sure how.

God bless,

I would'nt consider these guys "thugs and losers". Their since of humar will work with some and not others. Most of the videos I enjoyed. Their views are not all that different from many who see fault in the way churches are controlled, including myself.

It's not their views, necessarily, that make them thugs. It's their attitude and their immature approach. I put these guys up against Christians who truly love the Lord, and not just to battle with people who love the Lord, and it's easy to see these are not part of the body of Christ but a virus among us. I do not detract the statement that they are thugs and loser.

If they think the way they do and can do so without launching a jeuvenile attack against how others operate in serving the Lord, fine. No problem with that. But their purpose is to cause a rucus and that's all. Hopefully their little group falls apart and no one can hear their drivel.
