In fact I think the one you suggested supports premillennialism even better. For the age "when all things are renewed" (though there's no phrase in the Greek text which translates as "all things"), can still be said to refer to the 1000-year reign of Christ.
Yes, "the age when all things are renewed" was actually the NET Bible's rather non-literal or interpretive translation (and NET Bible's translators were/are premillennial).

The Gk word that appears here is palingenesia (as you know).
Check this out.
Matt 19:28, RYLT (Revised Young's Literal Trans.):
And Jesus said to them, `Verily I say to you, that you who did follow me, in the regeneration, when the Son of Man may sit upon a throne of his glory, shall sit -- you also -- upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel;

So, I suppose it's a matter of interpretation and/or what "interpretive grid" one is using with the meaning here..."in the regeneration"...(Hmmmmm?).......

To further an amillennial argument:
It appears that when Jesus "shall sit" that "you also" [the disciples and/or apostles] shall also sit in judgment of the twelve tribes (Pentecost, ff.). Jesus seated in glory, the disciples and/or apostles sitting on earth (and we could probably say, "the Elders of the Church, seated in Jerusalem," Acts 2 ff., Acts 15, etc.). Who Stephen saw, when Stephen saw him, and where that Person was (Acts 7:55-56).

Well, I've kind of already said this, Thanks,

Hey Don (or anyone else interested),

I really think what N.T. Wright has to say, which is far and above what I've been saying in this thread, is so totally worth a listen!

By way of: http://www.ntwrightpage.com/
"Whatever did Saint Paul do with the Kingdom of God?"
(June 2007)

I haven't heard the (first) "Tomorrow's World" lecture yet. But "Whatever?" is so good; I thought about going to the trouble to listen and type some of it out here (which takes a lot of time with me)....

Wright touches on so much in this talk on things-eschatological. Among them are themes I know you (Don) would be interested in: Namely and for one: The nature of the resurrected body (in keeping with Jewish thought).

NTW is likely an amillennialist or postmillennialist.
However, he simply talks about realized eschatology ("biblical prophecy stuff that's current"). Premillennialists, and Christians of any persuasion (who may or may not be "prophecy buffs"), can glean helpful and really-relevant truths from this lecture.

Warning: You will also be "lifestyle" challenged!
(I know I sure was: It hurt so good)!
Ok, Rick-out,

If you haven't heard the NTW audios yet: Very Highly Recommended. Thanks, :)
