A 40 Year Millenium?

I'm not playing a game. I'm trying to determine the event to which you are referring, so that I can answer your question, "Where do you see this event taking place?". You haven't once stated what event you are talking about in any of the previous posts.

I don't understand why you are having such difficulty in answering such a simple question.

I even clarified the question in the same post by asking what the setting for Rev. 20 is. But nevertheless, I will ask again and I will be very specific.

Is the setting of Rev. 20 in heaven or on earth or somwhere else?

The following verses from Revelation 20 seem to point to the earth as being the setting:

And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be loosed from his prison and will come out to deceive the nations which are at the four corners of the earth, that is, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. And they marched up over the broad earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city; but fire came down from heaven and consumed them. Verses 7-9 RSV

I agree with Paidion that the context of Rev. 20 is not just "in heaven" but clearly "on earth" as well (even though he was being a bit stubborn there )

Also, whether or not Paul was thinking about a 40 year reign early in his ministry, I still don't see how 1,000 years can be a descriptor for such a short time.

I do think this passage, among others, should give full preterists pause and that we should avoid merely marshalling other passages to explain it away.
