Someone just told me that any time the New Testament references any of the Old Testament saints that they only reference positive attributes and never their sin as evidence of their forgiveness.
Is there any truth to this? It's intruiging, and I can't think of any exceptions.

Well, the person was a "saint" for a reason. If I was writing something I would probably try to portray Godly men as being Godly.darin-houston wrote:Someone just told me that any time the New Testament references any of the Old Testament saints that they only reference positive attributes and never their sin as evidence of their forgiveness.

Remember the Bible isin't a biography...in a biography I would touch on both the good and the bad.
However, Peter speaks of Balaam:
"following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness" - 2 Peter 2:15
Would you consider Balaam a saint? He did some righteous things...
Any other thoughts??
